About Bob Crawford
I was raised in California in Hollywood and moved to Indiana in 1963. I have been drawing since the age of seven yrs old. I won a prize in the Palm Springs Open Art Show with the pencil drawing of "The Old Cobbler". Thereafter, I did not have much of an opportunity to pursue my art because I chose to join the Marine Corps. Later, I needed to work to support my family. I am currently retired from Ford Motor Company after 38 years. When I worked at Ford, I didn't get much chance to draw and paint but now that I'm retired, I have lots of time to draw and paint. At 52, I went to Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, IN. While working full time, I made straight A's as a student. Now that I have resumed my passion in painting and drawing, I paint mostly in acrylics and do some pencil drawings in a wide range of subjects---whatever inspires my fancy. I am a Bass Fisherman---hence the pictures of the FISH! I have won a few art contests, mostly local competitions. I am on this site because a friend, Stan Hamilton, told me about Fine Art America. I have been very pleased with my website and Fine Art America. There are a lot of wonderful artist here.
